Alejandro Talavante, First Bullfighter Confirmed for the 2027 San Isidro Fair at Las Ventas
The Extremaduran matador opens Plaza 1's list of bookings for the upcoming Madrid fair after establishing himself as one of the stars of San Isidro 2026.

Alejandro Talavante has secured his place at the next San Isidro Fair. The Plaza 1 company has finalized the contract of the Extremaduran bullfighter for the 2027 season at the Las Ventas bullring, making him the first bullfighter officially announced for one of the most important events of the bullfighting season.

This renewed commitment comes in recognition of Talavante's merits during the last edition of the Madrid fair, where he delivered two outstanding performances and confirmed, once again, his ability to make a difference in one of bullfighting's most demanding arenas.

Talavante, star of San Isidro 2026
The Extremaduran bullfighter delivered one of the most remarkable performances of the season on May 8th, when he earned the Puerta Grande at Las Ventas after cutting two ears from a bull of the Núñez del Cuvillo ranch. This triumphant afternoon further solidified his status among the Las Ventas crowd.

Later, on May 29, Talavante again earned an ear, this time from a Torrealta bull, adding another positive result to his performance at the fair and solidifying his position among the leading names of San Isidro 2026.

These results have been decisive in Plaza 1's decision to secure his participation in the next edition, thus taking the first step in shaping the 2027 lineups.

San Isidro 2027 Begins to Take Shape
With the signing of Alejandro Talavante, the company managing Las Ventas is beginning to outline a fair that will once again bring together the top bullfighters and those who demonstrate sufficient merit during the season.

While the first names are being announced, the teams of talent scouts are working on selecting the ranches and planning the events that will make up the 2027 bullfighting season at the Madrid arena.

Talavante's appearance marks the first announcement of a festival that will take shape over the coming months and, as every year, will capture the attention of bullfighting fans.

A new date with the Madrid fans
Alejandro Talavante will face San Isidro 2027 bolstered by his recent triumphs at Las Ventas and with the aim of once again leaving his mark on a bullring that demands the very best from every bullfighter.

His contract inaugurates the list of names for the upcoming festival and confirms that the Extremaduran matador will continue to be one of the main attractions of the Madrid season.

The countdown to San Isidro 2027 has already begun. Talavante is the first name announced for a festival that promises to once again place Madrid at the center of the bullfighting world.
